PURPOSE: A vehicle door switch automatic holding device and the method thereof prevents an accident due to the wrong operation of a switch by automatically holding a vehicle door switch by a simple key manipulation. CONSTITUTION: A micro-computer decides whether a mirror selection switch signal for automatically holding the door switch of a vehicle is inputted or not. If the selection signal is inputted, the micro-computer decides whether a reverse gear is inputted or not. If the reverse gear is inputted, the micro-computer decides whether the reverse speed of the vehicle is higher than a predetermined speed or not. If the reverse speed of the vehicle is higher than a predetermined speed, the micro-computer automatically holds the door switch of the vehicle. Therefore, an accident due to the wrong operation of a switch is prevented.
