PURPOSE: An automatic detection method of a telephone dial pulse in a WLL(Wireless Local Loop) terminal is provided to automatically determine a dial pulse mode and to use the telephone regardless of the dial pulse mode. CONSTITUTION: Upon automatic detection of a telephone dial pulse, an SLIC(Subscriber Line Interface Circuit) converts the dial pulse output from the telephone to a digital signal. Then, an MSM(Mobile Station Modem) receives the digital signal output from the SLIC, senses off hook of the telephone, and sets up an interrupt time for sensing a brake time. In the case of sensing the brake start point, the MSM checks whether or not the state of the telephone is make state after a predetermined time goes by. If not, the brake point is counted according to a set time. Otherwise, the dial pulse mode is automatically set.
