PURPOSE: A method for supplementing new functions in operating a switching system is provided to supplement new functions without interrupting the system, thereby preventing time and human power loss. CONSTITUTION: An operator prepares a DOD(Dynamically Defined Object) file by designating the value an object should have(101). An SCE(Service Creation) transmits the generated DOD file to an SMF(Service Management Environment), and the SMF converts the suffix of the DOD file for transmitting to a CP MIN(Call Processing Managed Intelligence Node)(102). The CP MIN again converts the suffix of the DOD file for transmitting to an MECIR(Management Execution Information Repository) of an OAM and P MIN(Operation Administration Maintenance and Provisioning Call Processing Managed Intelligence Node) (103). The MECIR examines whether a class to the transmitted DOD file exists(104). If the class does not exist, the MECIR notifies exceptional process routine(105). If exists, the MECIR generates the object having the corresponding function using the transmitted DOD value for registering the supplemented function(106). The MECIR operates the registered function(107) and outputs the existence of the objection generation to a user(108).
