PURPOSE: A method of analyzing a trunk group in telephone network is provided to economically install and operate the trunk group by using the traffic analyzing method with respect to the directional trunk group of the fixed alternate routing, which is widely used in the telephone network. CONSTITUTION: Transport traffics of two trunk groups are added every hour with respect to the data measured. Through the transport traffics added every hour and the number of lines added, an imposed traffic is estimated. The imposed traffic detects the value which is satisfying the following equation: transport traffic = imposed traffic x (1 - E(A,N)) (Here, E is Erlang B formular. A is the imposed traffic. N is the number of lines). Based on the imposed traffic detected, the monthly pilot value is calculated according to the busy hour determination method, and is set as a standard traffic. The number of the line is obtained by using the standard traffic and allocated to each trunk group at a proper rate.
