PURPOSE: A telescopic steering system makes the length of a steering system without using complicated parts. CONSTITUTION: A telescopic steering device comprises brackets(3), an adjusting bracket(6), a penetrating bolt(7), a nut(8) and a lever(10). The brackets(3) fixed on a body(B) form a certain space for an outer column and an inner column(53) to be placed and have rectangular guiding holes formed along the direction of a steering shaft on vertical portions(1) thereof. The adjusting bracket(6) fixed on the bottom surface of the outer column and has arms(4) symmetrically formed thereon and having engaging holes(5) symmetrically formed. The penetrating bolt(7) is mounted to penetrate the engaging holes(5) and the guiding holes. The nut(8) is engaged with the penetrating bolt(7) with screw to press the vertical portions(1) to increase and decrease the friction force with the adjusting bracket(6). The lever(10) is installed to rotate together with the nut(8).
