METHOD FOR EVALUATING QUALITY OF INSIDE OF CONTINUOUS CASTING SLAB

PURPOSE: A method for evaluating quality of the inside of a continuous casting slab is provided to shorten working time and improve reliability of quality of products by quantitatively judging the degree of central segregation of the continuous casting slab. CONSTITUTION: In a method for quantitatively evaluating a degree of central segregation by analyzing a segregation degree of sulphur contained in the slab, the method for evaluating quality of the inside of a continuous casting slab comprises the processes of taking a picture of the selected sulphur printer (100) with a micro-viewer (110) by selecting sulphur printer (100) having a size of 30 mm or more including central segregation and V segregation in the continuous casting slab; operating images having an area of 0.5 mm2 or more among the images of a micro-viewer (110) through an image analyzer (120); and outputting image numbers and total area operated in an image analyzer (120) through an output unit (130) so that they can be used as an evaluating means for the degree of central segregation.
