摘要 PURPOSE: A method for searching in a mobile communication system is provided to minimize a power required for a determination variable computation and implement a high speed cell search. CONSTITUTION: A reliability of a start point of a mini slot is increased using an accumulation technique(S101). A determination variable with respect to 20 mini slots of a slot interval is computed(S102). Namely, a relevant value with respect to each mini slot is computed. A N-number of mini slots which does not affect a long code determination in a down sequence method among the relevant values with respect to each computed mini slot is selected(S103). A long code group information is obtained using a relevant value with respect to the N-number of the selected mini slot as a start point information(S104). The type of the long code is determined using a start point information and a long code group information(S105). The calculator of the determination variable corresponding to the selected mini slot is driven, and the non-selected determination variable calculator turns off the driving operation(S106). The relevant value with respect to a N-number of the mini slots is computed(S107).
