PURPOSE: A device for calculating a cyclic redundancy check code is provided to enhance a calculating speed of a CRC and to perform the calculation of the CRC with a low speed clock by using a parallel processing method in a calculation of the CRC. CONSTITUTION: A CRC calculation unit(100) is provided for calculating a CRC with respect to a plurality of bits in parallel. A selector(200) selects and outputs one out of the CRC calculated in a CRC calculation unit(100) and an input data in accordance with external selection signal. The CRC calculation unit(100) calculates a plurality of CRCs in parallel simultaneously. The selector(200) selects and outputs user data inputted in accordance with an external selection signal or output data of the CRC calculation unit(100).
