PURPOSE: A disk driver is provided to precisely perform transfer operation of a disk while simplifying a controlling operation for loading the disk. CONSTITUTION: A tray(20) is withdrawn from a case(10) while being inclined. Then, a disk(D) is mounted on a disk mounting surface for transferring the tray into the case. Therefore, the disk is transferred in an inclined state. A turntable installed on a pickup base assembly(30) is inserted to a turntable through hole of the tray. Thus, the disk is mounted on the turntable. Then, the disk is separated from the mounting surface. Therefore, the disk is rotated by the turntable while being separated from the disk mounting surface of the tray.
