PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring an object to be photographed with automatic compensation function are provided to accurately measure the width and the position of the object in even cast that an initial settlement related to a position of a camera is remarkably changed. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring an object to be photographed(500) with automatic compensation function includes a light source part(100) embedding a light source(110) and having a square teeth-shaped light source module(120), a sensor part(200) having a camera(210) catching an image of the object formed by the light source part, a detection part(300) detecting the image obtained by the sensor part, and an image display part(400) displaying information detected by the detection part as time.
