PURPOSE: A method for measuring the surface height in an electromagnetic casting is provided to improve the surface and inside quality of a molded product by stably controlling the surface, thereby obtaining a higher yield. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring the surface height(3) in an electromagnetic casting includes the steps of applying high-frequency current to an induction coil(4) winding around a mold(1) in the electromagnetic casting by using a high-frequency power supply apparatus(5), measuring current value changed by induction current generated by an induction magnetic field formed in a molten material(2) positioned within the mold by using a current measuring apparatus(6), so that the surface height of the molten material is measured.
