Described is a process for counteracting human sweat malodor comprising the steps of (i) using as an additive to a base perfume composition a malodor counteractant composition comprising at least one of the following active ingredients: beta-naphthyl methyl ether, methyl beta-naphthyl ketone; benzyl acetone; a mixture of hexahydro-4,7-melhanoinden-5-yl propionate and hexahydro-4,7-methanoinden-6-yl propionate; gamma-methyl ionone; geranonitrile (3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadien-1-nitrile); dodecahydro-3a,6,6,9a-tebamethylnaphtho(2,1-b)furan having the structure: <CHEM> the ethylene glycol cyclic ester of n-dodecanedioic acid having the structure: <CHEM> <IMAGE>
