PURPOSE: Sucking structure of refrigerant gas of a scroll compressor is provided to reduce loss of suction refrigerant by preventing the refrigerant gas from leaking through a clearance between a suction guide and the inside of a hermetic shell and to improve assembling property by shortening a welding process of a suction pipe and the suction guide. CONSTITUTION: A rotor(5) of a motor(3) is rotated when a scroll compressor is run normally. A crankshaft(6) is rotated by rotation of the rotor. An orbiting scroll(8) is rotated by using the eccentric distance of an eccentric portion(7) as a diameter. A compressive space, a pocket is formed by both wraps(9a,8a) of a fixed and an orbiting scroll(9,8). The pocket is moved to the center by the continuous orbiting of the orbiting scroll and reduced in volume. The pocket compresses refrigerant gas sucked through a suction pipe(2) and a suction guide(4) and discharges the refrigerant gas through a discharge port(10) of the fixed scroll. The refrigerant gas flows into a high pressure portion, the upper space in a hermetic shell(1) through a discharge hole(13) of a check valve(12). The refrigerant gas is supplied to a condenser through a discharge pipe(14) repeatedly. The suction guide integral with the suction pipe has both ends opened to prevent the refrigerant gas from flowing in a circumferential direction along the inside of the hermetic shell. The loss in the suction path is reduced. In addition, the suction pipe is fixed to a side of the hermetic shell by projection welding of one time. Therefore, the welding process is simplified and assembling property is improved.
