A blade 1 to be used in turbo machinery applications includes one or more ribs 10 extending outwardly from a blade body 2, the ribs 10 being tuned to provide optimized vibration behaviour of the blade 1. The ribs 10 may be integrally formed on the blade body 2 at a distance from an inner blade body 4 and an outer blade body 5, and they may be arranged so that they do not have an angle of incidence with the expected flow path past the blade 1. The ribs 10 may be on a suction side 8 and/or on a pressure side 9 of the blade body 2, and each rib 10 may extend around part of, or around the entire profile of the blade 1.
