PURPOSE: An error processing apparatus and method having a remote resetting function in a communication system are provided to remotely reset a board in the case that a critical error like a failure in a CPU of a board in a mobile communication system occurs in the board. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of lower level boards(241-242) perform an inherent function. A plurality of function boards(221,222,223) collect an error signal of the connected lower level boards. An error collecting board receives an error signal of the function boards through an alarm transmission cable. A main control board receives an error signal collected by the function board through IPC and receives an error signal of the function board transferred to the error collecting board. An error manager(150) receives an error signal from the main control board and indicates that an error occurred and inputs an information for resetting a board which needs a resetting among a plurality of lower level boards and transfers the information to the board through the main control board, the error collecting board, and the cable. |
