METHOD FOR TESTING DEDICATE LINE IN DEDICATE LINE ROUTER

PURPOSE: A method for testing a dedicate line in a dedicate line router is provided to check a current state of a dedicate line without an additional testing equipment. CONSTITUTION: The method is to test a dedicate line in a network(6) connecting a local area router and a remote area router through a dedicate line. A local area router(12) makes a dedicate line test request frame including dedicate line test request-use protocol type data and test pattern data, and transmits the frame to the remote area router(18) through the dedicate line. The remote area router receives the looped-back dedicate line test request frame and compares it with the frame transmitted, thereby testing the dedicate line.
