PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing error information from being written in loading and unloading a control unit is provided to prevent a system from generating a wrong operation as error information is written in a memory installed in another unit when a control unit is loaded or unloaded, in a communication system that a plurality of units are installed in a main board in the form of a shelf. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing error information from being written in loading and unloading a control unit consists of a switching part(40), a read/write signal generation part(50), and a reset signal generation part(60). The switching part(40) executes switching as a control unit is loaded into or unloaded from the shelf of a main board. The read/write signal generation part(50) outputs a read/write signal to a specific unit according to the switching of the switching part(40) when the control unit is loaded. The reset signal generation part(60) resets the CPU of the control unit according to the switching of the switching part(40) when the control unit is unloaded.
