PURPOSE: A driving method of an electric field light emitting element is provided to displaying a flat display by controlling a gray scale through a control of voltage. CONSTITUTION: A signal line(10) is separated from a supply line(20) in parallel, and a capacitor line(30) is separated from a scan line(40) in parallel. At this time, the capacitor line(30) and the scan line(40) are perpendicular to the signal line(10) and the supply line(20). A source of a thin film transistor(Q1) for switching is connected to the signal line(10), and a gate of the thin film transistor(Q1) for switching is connected to the scan line(40), and a drain of the thin film transistor(Q1) for switching is connected to the capacitor line(30) through a capacitor(C1). A gate of a thin film transistor(Q2) for driving is connected between the drain of the thin film transistor(Q1) for switching and the capacitor(C1). A drain of the thin film transistor(Q2) for driving is connected to the supply line(20), and a source of the thin film transistor(Q2) for driving is connected to an anode terminal(50) of a light emitting diode. When the thin film transistor(Q1) for switching is turned on, an electric charge capacity charged at the capacitor(C1) is proportional to a potential of voltage applied by the signal line(10). And, when the thin film transistor(Q1) for switching is turned on and a signal of an increasing voltage is inputted to the capacitor line(30) by a frame, a gate voltage of the thin film transistor(Q2) for driving is increased proportional to a voltage applied through the capacitor line(30). When a gate voltage of the thin film transistor(Q2) for driving is over a threshold voltage, the thin film transistor(Q2) for driving is turned on, and a voltage of the supply line(20) is applied to the light emitting diode(D1) through the thin film transistor(Q2) for driving, and the light emitting diode(D1) emits light.
