DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TENSION OF STEEL SHEET IN CONTINUOUS PROCESS USING LOOPER

PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling tension of a steel sheet in a continuous process using a looper are provided to relax a tension transition phenomenon in a speed transition area of line by changing a standard speed control value of fixed helper roll of a looper and preventing an influence of the control to the maximum from being transferred to an adjacent carriage. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling tension of a steel sheet in a continuous process using a looper includes a comparator, a PI controller and an adder. The comparator compares a tension value measured from a tension measuring machine(28) with a standard tension value set by tension instruction of a line and outputs the compared result to the PI controller. The PI controller receives and amplifies a compared error of the comparator, multiplies adjustment gain to the amplified error, and outputs to the adder mounted at an input terminal of a speed control standard value setting device of each fixed helper roll driving motor. The adder adds the value received from the PI controller to the speed control standard value of an original fixed helper roll driving motor, and inputs to the speed control standard value setting device of the fixed helper roll driving motor.
