PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing drooping of the end part of a coil is provided which not only improves quality of the coil but also secures safety of operation by operating a drooping prevention means at a time point when coiling is almost completed while it is not operated during coiling of a steel sheet in a coil shape so that the end part of the coil is not sagged. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises first, second and third cylinders (12,14,16) which are installed on a base (10) and capable of multistage operation; third ascent and descent plate (26) which is connected to the first, second and third cylinders (12,14,16), and an ascent and descent height of which is freely controlled; an arc shaped supporting frame (50) which is fixed to the third ascent and descent plate (26), to one end of which an idle roll (54) is rotationally fixed, and to other end of which a hinge axis (52) is fixed; a flexible frame (60) which is rotationally fixed to the end part of the supporting frame (50) by the hinge axis (52), at one end of which adjacent to the hinge axis (52) a fixing bar (69) is installed, and at other end of which an idle roll (64) is installed; a contact maintenance cylinder (56) fixed to the center part of the inner surface of the supporting frame (50) and connected to the fixing bar (69); and a belt rotationally wound on each of the idle rolls.
