PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically adjusting a focus for a display device is provided to obtain a clean image under a certain condition by preventing that a resolution of a picture is degraded when a focus characteristic is changed according to a change of a beam current. CONSTITUTION: A voltage compensating unit(5) senses a change of a current flow to an ABL(Auto Beam Limited) terminal of an FBT(Fly Back Transformer)(3), and increases or decreases a voltage according to the result. A focus characteristic compensating unit(6) changes a level of a parabola wave according to the change of the voltage of the ABL terminal of the FBT(3) for compensating a focus characteristic according to a change of a beam current.
