PURPOSE: A method for restoring non-volatile data area using a flash memory is provided to minimize phenomenon that non-volatile data is broke when using a mobile telephone storing non-volatile data in a flash memory and support the restoration function of the non-volatile data, thereby improving the reliability of the product and reducing service expenses. CONSTITUTION: The states of stored two non-volatile areas are read in an initial booting(S11). If one of any non-volatile area is valid, the valid area is stored in a cash area within a memory to be used(S12,S13). If both of the non-volatile areas are valid, each version number stored in the non-volatile areas are read(S14,S15). The area having the higher version number is selected and stored in the cash area within the memory(S16).
