PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of safely and efficiently peeling a coated material such as ceramics or the like on a sheet. SOLUTION: In a method for peeling the coating material formed on the single surface of a sheet 2, the surface 4 having no coating material of the sheet fed from a feed-out roll 5 is brought into contact with the leading end part of a blade 1 of which the tip has a radius R of 1 mm or less under tension and the sheet 2 is bent toward the surface 4 having no coating material at an angle 8 of 90 deg. or less at the contact position to be taken up by a taking-up roll 6.
