PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method for a tile body, with which an internal stress leaving within the tile body is controlled at molding the tile body so as to check the deformation of the tile body at its drying and baking, and its mold. SOLUTION: In molding the tile body for obtaining the tile body W through the pressurizing molding of a coarse body for a tile extruded from an extruder with molds consisting of a top mold 12 and a bottom mold 13 a pressurizing surface 38 corresponding to the rear surface of the tile body W is provided on the top mold 12 or the bottom mold 13. At the same time, some part of the pressurizing surface 38 is made to be a retracting and extending surface 52, which can be freely retractable and extendable, and the pressurizing surface 38 except the retracting and extending surface 52 is made to be a fixed surface 60. The coarse body is pressurizingly molded after the height of the retracting and extending surface 52 to the fixed surface 60 is set.
