PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure waterproofness of a connection part between a support unit and a wiper shaft in the support unit formed by the press working of a metal plate. SOLUTION: The support unit 3 is formed by bending a steel plate. The support unit 3 is provided with a wiper shaft connection part 13 bent in tapered shape corresponding to a tapered connection part of the wiper shaft 15. A reinforcing inlet 14 is disposed outside of the wiper shaft connection part 13, while the wiper shaft 15 is inserted inside the wiper shaft connection part 13 and fittingly fixed. The support unit 3 is provided with a skirt 27 so as to surround a fixed part F between the wiper shaft 15 and the support unit 3. A labyrinth 33 is formed at the lower part of the skirt 27 by the skirt 27 and the wiper shaft 15 to provide the waterproof measure of the wiper shaft 15 at the fixed part F.
