PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electroconductive composition capable of exhibiting a high electroconductivity even by a small amount of an added conductive material. SOLUTION: This electroconductive composition comprises a conductive material and a compound represented by the general formula (I) [X is a hydrogen atom, a 1-42C hydrocarbon group, a carboxyl group or an ester group; Y is a 1-42C hydrocarbon group, a carboxyl group, an ester group or CH2OR1 (R1 is a hydrogen atom, a 1-42C hydrocarbon group or the like); Z is a polymerization unit derived from a monomer copolymerizable with CH(X)CH(Y)O; (a) is >=4; and b is >=0].
