PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluorescent substance paste for EL element hardly precipitating and solidifying fluorescent substance powder in storage, capable of improving adhesivity to the surface of an inorganic material, improving printability and to provide a method for producing the fluorescent substance paste. SOLUTION: This fluorescent substance paste for EL element comprises at least a resin having a high dielectric constant, a solvent, electric field luminescence-type fluorescent substance powder and an expansive layered clay mineral swelling with the solvent. The fluorescent substance paste for EL element comprises at least the resin having high dielectric constant, the solvent, the electric field luminescence type fluorescent substance powder and an organometallic compound containing a metal atom to which at least one or more hydrolyzable groups are added.
