PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner by which the cooling efficiency of a cord to be wound around a drum body is improved by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A contraction diameter part 76 projecting in a nearly cylindrical shape to the side of a drum chamber 34 is arranged in a dividing board part 32 for dividing the drum chamber 34 from a motor-driven blower chamber 13 storing a motor-driven blower 20 inside a cleaner main body 1. At the tips of a plurality of bridge piece parts 77 arranged at the tip end of the contraction diameter part 76, an attachment board 78 is arranged, where a fitting part 80 for pivotally supporting the shaft 65 of a drum body 36 is arranged. A communication hole 79 is opened between the bridge piece parts 7 and the attachment board 78 and a cool blow path 84 for permitting the discharge blow 89 of the blower 20 to flow to the inner peripheral side of a winding body part 43 of the drum body 36 is constituted. Cooling holes 47a are disposed in the winding body part 43 and a through-hole 45 is disposed in the wheel part 42 of the drum body 36. A discharge blow 89 flowing to the inner peripheral side of the body part 43 via the cool blow path 84 is made to flow through a power source cord 35 to be left while winding around the winding the 44 of the drum body 36 via the cooling holes 47a as a whole so that cooling is efficiently performed.
