<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation for cooling and solidifying molten slag with high operating capacity by which cooled slag can easily be peeled off, and which need not be installed at an elevated place. SOLUTION: This installation is equipped with a pair of water cooled drums 10a and 10b onto which molten slag is fed and adheres which can be cooled, are displayed horizontally in contact with each other at the outer surfaces, are constituted so that the both tangential points rotate upward direction, and the revolution of which is adjustable, with slag conveyers 14a and 14b to convey the slag 32 peeled off the water cooled drums 10a and 10b in traverse directions locating each below the pair of the water cooled drums 10a and 10b, and with a control unit for regulating the speed of the slag conveyers 14a and 14b corresponding to the change of revolution speed of the water cooled drums 10a and 10b.</p> |
