PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard film in which different hard layers of two or more layers are laminated and which exhibits excellent wear resistance and adhesion even in the case its thickness is severalμm or more and to provide a hard film-coated member deposited with the same hard film. SOLUTION: In a hard film in which two or more layers having different chemical compositions selected from the nitride, carbide and carbonitride containing one or more kinds of metallic elements are laminated, the hard film, in which the thickness of each layer is 0.4μm or more, the total thickness of the film is 0.8 to 50μm, furthermore, all layers are substantially composed of rock-salt type structure, and also, the crystal structure of each layer is grown substantially in an epitaxial manner, exhibits excellent wear resistance and adhesion.
