PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand cart capable of being switched from a flat place traveling status to a status for going up/down stairs with a simple operation while human power is not required in going up/down the stairs. SOLUTION: The hand cart 1 is provided with a loading space 2 comprising a secured wheel 8 and a flexible wheel 9, a frame body 3, a belt transmitting mechanism part 4 including pulleys 11, 13 and a grounding transmitting belt 14, a linear slide mechanism part 5 vertically slidably mounted along the frame body 3 (including an endless belt 19), and a motor 6 for driving the belt transmitting mechanism part 4. The grounding transmitting belt 14 and the endless belt 19 upwardly drawn abut to a corner part of a step of the stairs, and the grounding transmitting belt 14 is driven by the motor 6, and the hand cart 1 can thereby go up/down the stairs.
