PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a cause of giving a feeling that a room itself is not put in order from a conventional furniture-type household Buddhist altar where a chair is not only obstructive but also gives disordered impression in appearance since it is always arranged in front of the altar even when it is not used since it cannot be housed. SOLUTION: Since this household Buddhist altar 1 houses the chair 23 to be housed in an altar main body 3, the chair is never obstructive. Since similar designs are arranged on all of the respective surface parts 19, 37 and 39 of drawers 17, 33 and 35 and the surface part 31 of a back rest 29, it looks in a housing state as if four stages of the drawers are arranged in a vertical direction. Consequently, a feeling that they are well arranged is given to a person who looks at them.
