PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod whose weight is reduced and strength are improved on the side of the tip section which is largely bent in a practical fishing. SOLUTION: This fishing rod characterized in that carbon fiber prepregs 5a, 5b in which carbon fibers are paralleled at an angle of <=±15 deg. to the axial direction are disposed in the form of plural layers in a range(R) having an outer diameter(D) of <= approximately 5 mm and a thickness(t)/outer diameter(D) ratio of 0.04 to 0.25, in that a glass fiber prepreg 7 in which glass fibers are paralleled at an angle of <=±30 deg. to the circumferential direction is disposed in at least one layer in the range(R), controlling the resin content of the carbon fiber prepregs 5a, 5b to <=20 wt.%, and controlling the resin content of the glass fiber prepreg 7 to <30 wt.%. |
