PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting and lowering cabinet in which accommodated articles can be classified and accommodated for every type of the article. SOLUTION: The lifting and lowering cabinet 10 comprises a main body part 11 fixed to a ceiling or the upper part of a wall surface and a housing part 12 provided so as to be housed in the main body part 11 and movable between an upper limit position housed in this main body part 11 and a lower limit position located below the main body part 11. The housing part 12 is provided with a rack forming member 45 divided into a plurality of housing areas. Specifically, the rack forming member 45 comprises a housing basket 48 for housing wetted articles such as cleaned dishes and a housing case 47 for housing other articles.
