PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such inconvenience as a grain-discharging auger continues to turn to the mechanically turn-limiting position to contact with an obstacle when a hold position-detecting means is out or order in a combine harvester equipped with an automatic hold-controlling means for automatically turning the auger to a hold position. SOLUTION: In the combine harvester 1 equipped with an electric motor 11 for setting the auger 9 turning, an auger position-detecting sensor 18 for detecting the turning position of the auger 9, a hold position-detecting switch 20 for detecting the hold position of the auger 9 and the automatic hold- controlling means for the auger which automatically sets the auger 9 turning to the position detecting the switch 20, a case that the switch 20 does not work even when the auger 9 passes the hold position is judged to be abnormal on the basis of the detection signal of the sensor 18 and a turning operation for the automatic hold of the auger 9 is made to halt.
