CONTINUOUSLY REPEATED PLATE BENDING METHOD, AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously repeated plate bending method to improve the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of a material by introducing a large strain caused by the repeated bending in a surface layer without little changing the shape of the material, and a bending apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The characteristics of the material are improved by alternately and continuously bending a metal plate 10 moving in the longitudinal direction in a repeated manner in both directions of the plate thickness by roller groups 1-4. The mechanical, physical and chemical properties of the material are improved by introducing the strain caused by the repeated bending in the surface layer by appropriately selecting the cycles without little changing the shape of the material.
