PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition for dry cleaning that is increased in the detergent power for water-soluble stains, alleviates the excessive defatting action and the toxicity, attains the washing friendly to fabrics and human, facilitates the regeneration of the detergent and obtain a detergent for dry cleaning and a dry-cleaning aid so that a desired cleaning effect friendly to the fabrics and human may be attained. SOLUTION: In the detergent composition, a surfactant, water, a saccharide and/or a polyhydric alcohol are added to a solvent for dry cleaning so that the water dissolving the saccharide and/or the polyhydric alcohol may be characteristically maintained in the solubilizing state. Further, the detergent for dry cleaning containing the saccharide and/or the polyhydric alcohol and the aid for dry cleaning are provided.
