METHOD FOR BACKWASHING GAS FILTER AND GAS FILTER APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas filter backwashing method that allows the use of an ordinary inexpensive metal pipe for a pulse pipe and is capable of enhancing backwashing effect without apprehending heat resistance and corrosion resis tance and a gas filter apparatus. SOLUTION: In a gas filter apparatus using a cylindrical ceramic filter 10 to perform the filtering of high temperature exhaust gas, the gas passing area of the ceramic filter 10 connected to a gas passing port 13 at one end thereof and having a backwashing air blow port 14 provided to the other end thereof is made smaller than that of the intermediate part of the ceramic filter 10 on the side of the gas passing port 13 and the amount of backwashing air passing through the gas passing port 13 is suppressed to blow off air from filter wall surface to shake off adhering dust. In order to obtain this constitution, the caliber of the gas passing port 13 is made small or an orifice plate 31 is attached to the end part of the ceramic filter 10. A pulse pipe is arranged outside an outer cylinder 2 to allow a branched backwashing air blow pipe 21 to face to the backwashing blow port 1 of the filter.
