PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of ensuring smooth bending, avoiding the fracture in a reinforced part and preventing the deterioration of the decorativeness and productivity and further the rise in the production cost. SOLUTION: This fishing rod comprises plural rod tubes R1, F1, R2, F2, R3 and F3. The respective rod tubes are formed by winding a prepreg sheet in which highly elastic reinforcing fibers 1a are impregnated with a thermosetting resin so as to substantially orient the highly elastic reinforcing fibers 1a therein in the axial direction and then baking the resultant prepreg sheet under pressure. A bias sheet(BS) in which a unidirectional doubled prepreg sheet is mutually overlapped so as to tilt the reinforcing fibers 1a at±30 to 60 deg. to the axial center of the rod tubes is wound around prescribed sites of the rod tubes R1, F1, R2, F2, R3 and F3 and baked.
