PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermal recording material of which the printability on a protective layer is excellent, of which the surface uniformity is not impaired even when the protective layer is laminated on a recording layer, and which is free of occurrence of indented foreign matters and excellent in surface glossiness. SOLUTION: A coating solution for the protective layer constituted of a hardening resin composition is applied and dried on the recording layer. Subsequently, a protective layer coat thus obtained is hardened at a temperature of 40-110 deg.C so that the protective layer be formed, or it is dried at a temperature lower than the melting point of an organic low-molecular substance contained in the recording layer. |
