PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture recording device capable of easily detaching a sheet cassette and capable of reducing a cost and miniaturizing the device by a mechanism eliminating limitation on design and using no electric device. SOLUTION: This picture recording device with its typical constitution having a sheet cassette 5 constituted capable of mounting/demounting relating to a device main unit to store a sheet, a positioning mans movable in the mounting/ demounting direction of the sheet cassette 5, and a holding means which holds the sheet cassette 5 in cooperation with the positioning means, is characterized by having an energization means energizing the sheet cassette 5 in a detaching direction and a mounting/demounting mechanism releasing the holding of the sheet cassette 5 by moving its holding means.
