TRANSVERSAL SETTING OF VOLUME FLAP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus for simply and reliably adjusting a predetermined means for forming and sealing a package in the transverse direction. SOLUTION: A device in the packaging apparatus adjusts the transverse setting of a volume flap 1 in relation to a bearing housing 2 connected in a turnably condition by an axle 1'. The packaging apparatus also comprises a cutting jaw 4, a knife 5 and an anvil 6. A separate axle support 3 with the axle 1' of the volume flap 1 extending therethrough is mounted on the bearing housing 2 in a slidable condition so as to enable the relative adjustment in the transverse direction between the volume flat 1 and a heating housing 2. A shelf 2" having a rectangular hole 3 for attachment screws 7 for the axle support 3 is provided on the bearing housing 2 facing the anvil 6.
