PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved fermentation process for producing an L- amino acid, particularly L-lysine by using a Coryneform bacterium. SOLUTION: The objective fermentation process for producing L-amino acid, particularly L-lysine characteristically comprises the following steps: a) the step where a bacterium that can produce a desired L-amino acid in which at least cspl gene is attenuated; b) the step where the formation of the desired product is increased in the culture medium or in the cells of the bacterium, and c) the step where L-amino acid, particularly L-lysine is isolated. |
