PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jib crane which ensures the lifting height to the original height of a jib, and increases the hoisting capacity. SOLUTION: A plug member 30 to be connected to a tip side of a main hoisting wire 14 is provided. A socket member 32 with the plug member 30 inserted therein and connected thereto is connected to the jib 12. The plug member 30 with the main hoisting wire 14 connected thereto can be elevated/ lowered to the insertion and connection position of the socket member 32. A connection pin 42 to connect and hold the plug member 30 inserted in the socket member 32 is provided on the socket member 32. An engagement groove 38 to guide the plug member 32 is provided in the socket member. A control mechanism 46 to detect the insertion position in the socket member 30 of the plug member 32 and connect the plug member 32 to the connection pin 42 is provided.
