PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating container wherein a main material is paper, the container is easy to dispose of and incinerate, there is no fear of odor to be generated, and a working process is relatively simple. SOLUTION: An elongated curl 21a which curls inward in an approximately elongated oval is formed at an upper peripheral rim of a paper cylinder 20, and a base receive 22 which largely curls inward in an approximately lateral oval is formed at a lower peripheral rim of the cylinder 20. In addition, the inside of the curl 21a is fixed in contact with the outside of a barrel 11 immediately under an opening rim of an inner vessel 10, the inside of the base receive 22 is stuck and fixed to the outside of a base 12 of the inner vessel via an adhesive, and a heat insulating space layer 30 is provided between the inner vessel barrel 11 and the paper cylinder 20.
