PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation of a bush mounting hole when machining in a support unit formed by the press working of a metal plate. SOLUTION: The support unit is formed by bending a steel plate. A blank 36 formed of a metal plate is first bent and drawn to form side wall parts 10 and an upper face part 11, and the side wall parts 10 are raised to 45 deg.. Pin through holes 18 are then formed in the side wall parts 10. The side wall parts 10 are further bent and raised until the side wall parts 10 are almost perpendicular to the upper face part 11. In this case, even if the side wall parts 10 are machined after boring, deformation is hardly generated near the pin through holes 18 due to the machining and hardening of the blank 36, so that the deformation of the pin through hole during machining can be suppressed.
