PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double turret device capable of completing the dividing of one of turret units during a time from the start to the end of the working of the other turret unit. SOLUTION: Two turret units 100A, 100B of the same structure are used in parallel, and electric motors 4, 4A, 4B controlled by a NC controller 34, are used for clamping and unclamping a coupling 16 for allowing a turret head 15 (15A, 15B) to be disconnected from or connected to a housing 3 of each turret unit 100 (100A, 100B) in dividing each turret unit 100A, 100B. The dividing timing of the turret head 15 (15A, 15B), and the period and speed for the clamping and unclamping can be freely selected.
