FLAME RETARDANCY-IMPARTING AGENT FOR POLYCARBONATE RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardancy-imparting agent for a polycarbonate resin which is capable of improving a polycarbonate resin in the flame retardancy without loosing the physical properties such as transparency and the like that the polycarbonate resin originally bears. SOLUTION: The flame retardancy-imparting agent for a polycarbonate resin comprises a sulfonic acid group-containing aromatic polymer which has a weight-average molecular weight of 400-20,000, contains 50-100% by mass of a monomer unit having an aromatic nucleus and has an introduction ratio of the sulfonic acid groups into the aromatic nuclei of 15-45 mole %.
