PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine metal particle manufacturing method to efficiently collect fine metal particles with a simple chamber structure. SOLUTION: The arc is discharged between an electrode 3 and a molten metal 1 placed on a cooling hearth 2, a generating gas is blown thereon to generate the fine metal particles, and the fine metal particles are collected by a collecting apparatus 6. The blow-out direction of the fine metal particles is controlled to the direction of the collecting apparatus 6 by blowing the gas of the same quality as the generating gas or the inert gas thereon from a gas blow outlet 9.
