PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve such a problem that two coke oven moving machines are required in detaching an oven lid in a coke oven having a new and an old oven lids. SOLUTION: This oven lid detaching equipment for coke oven is provided with a bar pressing cylinder 19 set as stretchable in back and forth on the position corresponding to bars 2, 11 of an old and a new lid, a hook 20 for taking up oven lid capable of engaging to oven lid lifting shafts 8, 11 for the old and new lids, a lifting cylinder 21 for vertically driving the bar pressing cylinder 19 and the oven lid taking up hook 20 along a machine axis 15a, a pressing force switching mean switching the pressing force of the bar pressing cylinder 19 to a high pressure operation and a low pressure operation and a pressure stroke switching mean capable of changing the pressure stroke of the bar pressing cylinder 19. Thus, single coke oven moving machine can detach and attach all the oven lids of a coke oven to which new and old oven lids are mixedly attached.
